Scheduling your Tune-Up: You are entitled to one annual cooling system tune-up, which must be scheduled by you. Your plan starts the day your enrollment is processed. There is an initial 30-day waiting period before you can schedule a tune-up. Upon renewal (if applicable), there is no waiting period

 

COVERED : Coverage includes one tune-up for a fully functioning natural gas, propane, electrical central forced-air, or circulating hot water central heating system, for which you have sole responsibility. A tune-up includes the following. Check: thermostat operation; system temperature split; voltage and amperage to all motors. Inspect: disconnect; fuses; wiring; contactors; relays and pressure controls; electrical safety circuits; indoor blower and motor for dirt buildup; condensate drain; burners; duct seal at unit and secure panels; and bearings. Clean (if necessary): burner; condensate line and air filter. Replace: air filter (customer supplied). Lubricate: fan and motor units. Run and test system.

 

EXCLUDED : Leak tests, heat exchanger, clearing of  stoppages to condensate drain lines, filters, evaporator/indoor condenser cleaning  (including acid cleaning, cleaning, and unclogging services required to correct problems related to the lack of manufacturer's recommended  maintenance), gas-fueled cooling systems, condenser casings, registers and grills, window units, free-standing or portable cooling units,  dampers, zone controls, handheld remotes, heat exchanger, baseboard casings, propane, fuel or oil storage tanks, solar heating systems,  fireplaces, key valves, flues, vents, chimneys and chimney liners, grills, free-standing or portable heating units, zone controls, dampers, pellet,  coal, or wood stoves.
